What customers say?

“ Had an extremely creamy dessert in the form of the strawberry and cream cake. The cream was fluffy and the chunky pieces of strawberry added a perfect fruity flavour. The strawberry iced tea was also delicious you could taste the jasmine coming throug. The brownie was deep and rich with various nuts scattered atop. A very pleasant experience. ”

“ The burnt basque cheesecake was incredible, and so was the bingsu. Not sure why they only allow it to be shared between two people as we struggled to finish it between the two of us (admittedly with a cheesecake). Their logo is printed on a bit of cardboard and placed in the dessert, which I guess is good for advertising but I have environmental concerns. The table wasn’t quite dirty but not cleaned very well, however they seemed to only have a small staff. Staff were friendly ”

“ The service was good, the staff were really friendly. We got a regular hot hojicha and an iced vanilla hojicha which was nice, and the banana bread and matcha cake. The banana bread was really good but the matcha cake was quite dry. ”

“ I love love LOVE the banana bread with homemade strawberry jam, it really made my day tender and an explosion of banana flavour. The hand-drip coffee made from coffee bean #132 also amazed me. The winey taste went really with my order! ”

“ The cafe itself and staff are lovely and welcoming. We had a strawberry matcha & spanish matcha. Matcha was a solid 7/10, would like to go back and try the bingsu! They had samples of cake/brownie and they were UNREAL. So fudgey and tasty. ”

“ I have been hearing about ocha cafe for quite a few months and finally decided to go in the morning. It has just opened so it was quiet. There were many options for matcha and I got iced strawberry macha (with less ice). To say that I was not disappointed would be an understatement. The matcha was smooth and sweet but not too sweet. I love that when I said “less ice” they added less ice. I was happy with the quantity of matcha even with less ice. It was the second best matcha I’ve had in the city but the service I think makes it the no. 1 choice. Yet to try their desserts and I’m sure I will be going soon and often because the matcha is THAT GOOD! Strawberry matcha 10/10 Service ”

“ Visited this cozy cafe and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and attentive to everyone. The drinks we ordered were so good and the bingsu was delicious. The presentation was also so pretty. Would definitely recommend getting the bingsu and basque cheesecake. I’ll definitely be back! ”

“ Unassuming small cafe in the heart of Chinatown that does seriously good coffee and matcha/hojicha lattes. The matcha and hojicha lattes were some of the best I have tasted in the UK. The latte art was out of this world. Baristas were really friendly and really knew their stuff about the coffee. Seating is comfortable but given the size of the place it can get full really quickly. They also do some delicious looking cookies, tiramisu cakes and bingsu dessert - will be back for those! ”
